For the first time in the Republic of Moldova, YOUBESC CREATIVE INSTITUTE organized the training program: Sound Engineering in Film (seRIFF). The theoretical-practical session was delivered by Max Ponomarchuk and Valeriy Khiloboc, world-wide experts with extensive experience in one of only 16 DOLBY PREMIUM studios in the world.
seRIFF is co-financed by COR - Creative Industries Association in Moldova and it is dedicated for sound engineers, directors and film producers in the Republic of Moldova, in order to develop their skills in SOUND for FILM.
seRIFF was held on October 6 (8 hours) in the YOUBESC studio, the only Surround 5.1 studio in Moldova, as a program related to the development of the film industry within the first edition of RAVAC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
RAVAC Pitch – a training program for developing film projects - was organized for the first time in Moldova, with the goal to develop an industry platform that will encourage new productions in the moldovan cinema.
The pitch is dedicated for filmmakers from the Republic of Moldova who are in the process of developing a feature film. For three days of personalized training and consultancy to develop a script, filmmakers will present their projects to an audience including producers, financiers, local and international partners.
The winning project will receive the $ 10,000 grand prize of $ 5,000 from “YOU FIRST post-production” in the form of post-production services and $ 5,000 offered by PASCARU PRODUCTION in the form of film equipment renting and services.
The workshop was dedicated to those involved in the audio-visual field (directors, scriptwriters, producers, actors, etc.). The trainer of the event was Laurentiu Oprea - expert of the EU Project "Support for Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights" in the Republic of Moldova, Vice- Film and Audio Visual Producers, Romanian Association for the Management of Audiovisual Works and Coordinator of the Copyright Service - Romanian Television Company.
This workshop was made possible due our proudly Partner - AGEPI, The State Agency on Intellectual Property - administrative authority subordinated to the Government, responsible for promoting and implementing activities in the field of legal protection of intellectual property related to industrial property rights, copyright and related rights.
Internationally - AGEPI represents the Republic of Moldova in the World Intellectual Property Organization, other international, regional and intergovernmental organizations for intellectual property protection, maintains and develops collaborative relationships with them, and with the specialized institutions of other states.
RAVAC IFF aims to facilitate communication between the most important players in the film industry in Moldova.
On 06.10.2018 there was the first discussion entitled "FILM IN MOLDOVA. RESOURCES AND POTENTIAL" moderated by the producer Valentina Iusuphodjaev. The topic of the discussion was decided by the organizers due to the entry into force, on 01.10.2018 of Law no. 154 regarding the attraction of foreign investments in the field of film productions and other audiovisual works.
Dumitru Čšîra, representative of the Association for Development and Cooperation, presented the Cash Rebate system on which several issues were discussed. The event gathered 18 experts from the local film industry, representatives of MECC, CNC Moldova, COR.
